ICAN and ICAN Associates wish to thank those who work so hard to help children and families. Entering foster care can be devastating to a child, but it is often a child’s only chance, only lifeline. Ripple Effects does not trivialize the foster care experience and its effects on children, nor does it portray foster care as negative or hopeless. Based on initial responses, ICAN and ICAN Associates believes that the optimistic perspective of Ripple Effects may offer some encouragement to the children, foster parents, parents and social workers who deal with the realities of the child welfare system everyday.
We hope that you will follow Mark Ripple and Ripple Effects throughout the next weeks and months. Please let us know what you think. Just drop us a line at icanlkerr@gmail.com.
