The Attorney General's National Task Force on Children Exposed to Violence presented its final report and 56 policy recommendations at a news conference Washington D.C. on December 12, 2012. The report reflects findings gathered from public hearings across the country over the past year. The Task Force was comprised of 12 leading national experts, including practitioners, child advocates, attorneys, and physicians.

Members included ICAN Executive Director, Deanne Tilton Durfee, Father Gregory Boyle, founder of Home Boys Inc., and Long Beach Police Chief Jim McDonnell. Robert Listenbee, Jr., Chief of the Juvenile Unit of the Philadelphia Defender Association co-chaired the Task Force with Joe Torre, founder of the Safe at Home Foundation.
